The aims of the council

South Darley Parish Council seeks to work on behalf of the various communities of the parish to protect and improve the social, environmental and recreational well-being of the area.

We aim to:

– provide effective and accountable local government for the parish;

– listen to and engage with local residents and provide a voice for the parish;

– foster a sense of community in the parish;

– engage positively in the protection and improvement of both the built and natural environment.

The more detailed aims are given here.

The intention is that while the aims will be relatively stable, they are kept under review, with particular priorities identified in any given year.

Parish residents are invited to comment on the aims and to identify any particular priorities or practical actions they wish to see for the coming year.

Please send any comments to the Parish Clerk: via the website contact form – or simply have a word with any of the councillors listed on the website.

With thanks

Brian Haymes, Chair of Parish Council
