A
new bench was commissioned by South Darley Parish Council in the Plantation
opposite the primary school to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of the late
Queen Elizabeth II. The bench was partly funded by a Jubilee grant and was made
for us from recycled plastic waste by a company in Wirksworth, TDP, which
specialises in making outdoor furniture in this way. It has been installed
opposite the school entrance, primarily for use by parents and their children
as well as for residents and walkers wanting to enjoy the natural environment
of the plantation.
