Ernest Bailey Charity 2021 – Applications Invited for Grant Funding

Residents, voluntary groups, charities, clubs community organisations are being invited to apply for funding from the Ernest Bailey Charity.

The deadline for applications is Monday 25 October 2021. Councillors who represent the towns and parishes covered by the Ernest Bailey Charity, will meet on Thursday 11 November to discuss and consider each application.

Derbyshire Dales Council is the trustee of the Ernest Bailey Charity. It was set up many years ago under the old Matlock Urban Council and gives financial assistance to residents, voluntary groups and charities in the area. The Parish of South Darley is covered by the Charity, so residents and community groups from South Darley are being encouraged to apply.

Applications can be made…

1. for the relief of the aged and poor,
2. for the relief of distress and sickness,
3. to support facilities for recreation and other leisure time activities,
4. to support educational facilities or
5. in such other way as the Trustees think fit.
