The landowner of the allotments is Derby Diocese, from whom the council rents the land.
There are 14 half-plots and 9 full plots. The decision to create half-plots was taken in order to give more people access to an allotment. Tenants must sign an Allotment Agreement which sets out their responsibilities, and those of the council.
Rental fees enable the council to pay the Derby Diocese and cover administration costs.
There is generally a waiting list for allotments. Please contact us if you want more information, or would like to be added to the waiting list.
Inspection of the allotments takes place twice a year to ensure that tenants are adhering to the regulations re cultivation etc.
