The village hall was opened in 1952 and was refurbished in 2000.
South Darley Village Hall is a charity which operates the village hall for the benefit of the local community. It provides a base for the local art group and the Darley Dale Brass Band. South Darley Primary School uses the hall and there is a pantomime held every year. The village hall hosts social events throughout the year.
The hall is available for hire for birthday parties, christenings, art displays and meetings. The main hall, with stage, is suitable for functions/activities, seating up to 100 people, including kitchen facilities, some storage space and toilets. There is also a smaller meeting room which seats up to 10 people.
