Oker Road closure update

The Ground Investigation was successfully completed on the 12th of August and now the next step is the production of an Geotechnical Interpretive Options Report (GIOR) which will include options for further remedial work so designs can then be progressed.

There are no firm timescales to this next stage as the depth and complexity of the report will be determined by the quality and amount of data that has come out the ground, however speaking with the consultant earlier today the Authority would expect to see the report around the turn of the New Year. As to when remedial work could actually begin depends on how big the problem is (which the report will quantify).

Unfortunately we cannot commit to firm dates on when we anticipate the road to be reopened, as it is unreasonable to commit to this before the GI data is analysed and geotechnical interpretive options evaluated.
